18 intrepid golfers set out on our golf challenge at Panmure GC. We have been working on a new web site for the club (to be launched in November) and this seemed an ideal way to reciprocate business.
It was a very windy day but the rough had been cut back severely after the summer growth which meant that although our golf balls went in all directions, most were found to hit again. After a soup and sandwich lunch the golfers set out in fourballs, with a match being played between Nial’s and Brian’s teams. It was a fun afternoon after which the players retired for drinks in the spacious lunge and then dinner and prize-giving.
The winners were as follows:
Pairs stableford competition for the Broons trophies:
- Ian Gillies and Ronnie Urquhart
- Graham Miller and Stuart Forsyth
Nearest the hole at 5th:
David Callander
Nearest the hole in two at 18th:
Garry Chapman
Team competition: Brian’s team beat Nial’s team 3-2!
