Introducing Passclicks

Passclicks is a new way to login to websites without users having to remember their old style textual password.

Studies have revealed that humans are better in remembering visual things than textual things.

With passclicks your normal textual passwords are replaced with a sequence of clicks on an image.

Image with many distinct visual points

Take for example the image show on the right, to register your passclick password you would click on 5 points on the image. The system does not expect you to click on the exact pixel again so you are allowed a proximity which can be varied e.g. 15 pixel circle.

The best images to select are those that have many distinct visual points of reference. One possible solution would be to offer the user an image library to select from, instead of one image.
