Save the World, Print a Brochure!

Not exactly a politically correct headline but it does ring true!

With ever increasing recycling rates and commercial replanting and reforestation policies, the use of paper as a marketing material is gradually regaining its popularity.

There are of course many digital alternatives to print (all of which Blue Square can offer), but we also feel that there is little that can compare to a well conceived and produced brochure or mailpiece. Read some of the information below – it may change your mind about printing that next brochure!

Print and paper is the ever-present communications medium that can be re-used again and again.  Paper fibres can, in fact be recycled several times and with 60 million tonnes of paper being collected in Europe every year the paper industry is a leading recycler – paper accounts for more than 1/2 of all material recovered for recycling – more than glass, metal and plastic combined!

Forests are an inherently renewable resource. In Western Europe 42% of the land is now covered with trees (up 30% since 1950).  The area of forest coverage in Europe is increasing at the rate of 1.5 million football pitches every year!

The print medium is also a powerful way to convince and delight!  Recent research shows that around 80% of direct mail is opened compared with 30% for email.

Paper does not need batteries!  Producing and reading a traditional newspaper can consume 20% less energy than reading news online for 30 minutes!

So when you need to communicate, consider Print and Paper. For impact, user friendliness, responsiveness, touch and enjoyment there’s nothing that can be more successful or powerful.
